Our philosophy is not much different to any other company who offer such support. That being that we will endeavour to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required scope.
Some of the biggest reasons that projects fail or are not delivered on time or budget are:
⬢ Lack of identification of core deliverables
⬢ Scope creep and poor project management
⬢ Lack of project templates or tools
⬢ Poor stakeholder engagement
⬢ Poor executive and sponsor engagement
⬢ No benefit management framework
⬢ Lack of internal staff
⬢ No prioritisation framework
⬢ No formal budget control
Any or all of these could be due to the fact that there is no formal PMO or Project Office and projects get approved on who “shouts the loudest” or “seniority requests”.
We’ll check that resource is available to assist with the delivery of the project and that there is a formal project team in place and agreed. This to include engagement of the business executive and sponsors, ensuring there is available business resource for testing and training and there is adequate internal or external IT support in place (should this be required) and the timeline of the project is transparent to all concerned. In a lot of cases a project is initiated and “kicked off” without first checking that the timelines meets with availability of all of those concerned within the project.
KoP has assisted various businesses in the delivery of projects varying from initial “health checks”, application upgrades, new application implementations, data and system migration, training support to complex acquisition projects.
We have also implemented and set up a number of PMO’s and introduced PPM which has included implementation of new project templates, executive reporting and dashboards, links to internal intranet pages and training on procedures and project tools.
We work with and are specialised in a number of external applications particularly focusing on Legal, Trust and Wealth Management, Fund Management and Banking and Finance.
